Department of Family Medicine awarded $2.5 million HRSA grant

​A five-year $2.5 million grant from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) has been awarded to the OSU Department of Family Medicine. The project is titled, “Expanding, Enhancing, and Enriching the Primary Care Workforce through Clinical Transformation Education.” This grant is led by the College of Medicine in collaboration with the College of Nursing and interdisciplinary partners representing the College of Pharmacy, the College of Social Work, and the School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. Douglas Post, PhD, from the Department of Family Medicine and College of Medicine is the Project Director and Margaret Graham, PhD, from the College of Nursing is the Co-Project Director. The purpose of this project is to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative education and training initiatives designed to assure an enlarged primary care provider workforce that is well- prepared to practice in and lead transforming health care delivery systems.
